Excerpt from Shattered Rainbows:

When the barn door creaked open, the first thing Jamie noticed was that from somewhere inside came soft sobbing. The second thing she noticed was the tiny figure which stepped from the shadows within out into the moonlight. It was the small butch that had been with Bummed at Dockers. She still had on the same silver studded black leather vest, pants and boots.

"Got another one, Queerie?" She looked at the large woman before looking at Jamie.

"You bet we do!" The gigantic woman exclaimed, obviously proud of her trophy, "It's Jamie!"

"Jamie?" The little butch turned and stared at Jamie. "Good job, Queerie. Master will be pleased."

Jamie could no longer contain herself. "Just what do you think you are doing? Do you realize the seriousness of the implications of kidnapping?"

The large woman snapped, "Don't talk unless you are spoken to, bitch!" Her face contorted and assumed an even more monstrous shape as the thick veins in her neck and along the sides of her temples stretched.

Evidently Jamie had unknowingly broken a sacred rule. Talking to them would probably do no good anyway. She better just quietly watch, listen and learn. Maybe she could meet the "Master" whoever that may be. They must be the brains of this operation and may be more likely to listen to reason.

"Let me get my whip, Sade," the giant began to storm into the barn as she continued talking, "I'll teach this bitch a lesson she won't forget."

Sade? Whips? Oh God, thought Jamie. The little one named herself after Marquis de Sade? These weirdoes are not just playing. They're leather world wanna-be's who are living out dungeon life. Real life role playing. It was beginning to make sense to her now, as much sense as this craziness could.

They must be into either the S&M or B&D or the leather scene. Jamie had seen how the women who frequented the online dungeons talked when they would occasionally come into the Women's Room. It was all about domination, submission, torture. She had heard that some lived that way in real life but had never dreamed that she would somehow get involved in it. Apparently, she'd been mistaken.

"No!" said the pale, frail woman. "She is Master's and if you know what's good for you, you won't touch her. You can have one of the others."

The giant hesitated for a moment, and stood glaring at Jamie. She looked at the little one then stormed off into the barn.

The others? Jamie thought. So, they had the others in there. Had they been whipping them? Did they have Casey? A combination of fear, anger and cold made Jamie occasionally tremble.

The small woman turned to follow her comrade into the barn.

"Excuse me?" Jamie asked. The woman stopped but did not turn around. "Do you have Casey?"

"Yes," she stated matter-of-factly, "and if you know what's good for you, you won't ask any more questions." Her voice disappeared with her into the shadows of the barn.

Jamie stood there, arms raised above her head and lowered her forehead against the damp side of the barn. Her head throbbed. Her body ached. She was weak from the evening's activities. Could this really be happening?

The sound of a cracking whip followed by a torturous scream snapped her back to reality.
